Pacifico is not a band.
It's an idea. It is the musical journey of singer/songwriter Matthew Schwartz. Pacifico has gone through many changes but has always remained Matthew's outlet for passionate songwriting. Pacifico's first release for ALLALOM Music ("Anthology" - a collection of his best works from the beginning of the band) was released in 2006 to little fanfare, re-releasing it in March 2008 has caused a renewed interest in this amazing talent and will be followed shortly by the release of "Facedown", a more stripped down EP showcasing his ability to raise the bar for singer/songwriters around the world.
Pacifico is currently gearing up to hit the studios again, this time with producer Jason Martin (Starflyer 59 / Jared Colinger) to record the new full length, as well as playing shows and festivals around the USA.

Enjoying the spring?
We are, especially with all the wonderful music we have had the chance of working on.
First Daniel Folmer and Christopher & The Lion released a very wonderful split EP that has fans of lo-fi pop talking. It is truly a brilliant little gem. Then we re-released the Anthology collection from Pacifico, so all those kids who did not have a chance to buy it two years ago can now find it everywhere! Yes we said everywhere - iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody for all of you digital freaks, and any mom and pop store nationwide for those of you that like a hard copy.
Which leads us to today, we are currently working a new cassette only single (yes, we said cassette) from Christopher & The Lion, as well as a new EP from Pacifico - both of which are set to be released mid-summer. So be ready.
Also, through the month of May we have decided to cut shipping costs in our store! That is right kids - if you order anything from now until the end of May it will be FREE shipping. Because we love you.
So check out all the wonderful new music, pick up a CD or two, and go to a show! It is tour season again and that means all of our friends are playing shows, find them, show them love, and have a wonderful spring!
