This is the kind of music you want to fall asleep with, its deep and dreamy and carries itself along at a snails pace. Now technically this is an actual band, but it is much more the brainchild of singer/songwriter Alex James, and his love for music is all over this release.
Have you ever visited Oregon? If you have then imagine driving yourself down one of the long, empty roads near the cascades, away from all the cities and highways, out in the green hill country and this would be the soundtrack to that drive; a slow meandering through the bare outdoors and old earth.
So it should come as no surprise then that this band calls Oregon their home, they fit right in with the environmental elements of charmingly indie pop. I wish I could give you a good standout track to listen to, or a great song as an example of their music, but like the earth everything blends together into a whole – there is no standout.
This is not the music you want to listen to if you are trying to stay awake, or trying to focus on anything for that matter, just lay back and enjoy the ride it takes you on.
