Instant Christian music phenomenon Jeremy Camp has put together a collection of 13 praise and worship songs to mark his second album release. The album is slightly better than most of the praise and worship albums available today, but not by much.

Camp offers renditions of eight worship songs that are mostly well known, but a couple that may be new to some ears. There are also four original tunes, and one song (“Walk By Faith”) from his first album, Stay. However, I find the addition of “Walk By Faith” gratuitous and unnecessary, even though it’s one of the best songs from Stay.

The music on Carried Me has more rock elements (“You’re Worthy Of My Praise,” “I Wait For The Lord”) than most of the other worship albums currently available, but it compliments Camp’s powerful and commanding voice quite well. There also seems to be a coating of electronic effects as well on most of the songs, especially on the title track.

While there is nothing extremely original, the bells and whistles added through production make it interesting enough to listen all the way through.
This is a good album to worship with, but if you are looking for an album to peak and expand your musical interests, this will not do the trick.
