Let me start by saying the artwork of this album totally creeps me out, I have no problem with men who have long curly hair, I also have no problem with the colors red and black, but somehow the entire mesh of artwork seems to grind together and destroy all that is good; very creepy!

But what about the music? Well, its good, but not great. "Submission" starts the album and plays like a bad b-side from Trent Reznor's impressive catalogue, luckily Dax sheds that skin soon enough and goes into the lighter "Not Worth The Paper" which soon ends and the jumping begins again.

One of the biggest problems with this album is he tries to reach out in styles, and does not give the listener the chance to bask in his talents, instead jumping around like a untrained puppy.

I think I should probably note, because its plastered all over the press release, website and note about him I could find, but Dax played the little kid in one of Twisted Sister's music videos - impressed? yeah, me neither.

So, Dax is a very talented musician, lacking direction and proper training in taste, if you give him time and a great manager then I think we might have a talent worth paying attention to (in the nineties); but at the moment we have a directionless man trying to find something worth holding together, he jumps around and is overall forgettable. I would recommend checking out some of the songs, as they are genually fun to listen to, but the style is outdated and unfortunately there is nothing here to keep the listener coming back.

I liked it, truly I did, but I like several hundred other albums that I no longer listen to; give it time, maybe something worthwhile will change.
