We are so back! Thank you everyone who helped us out at TOMFest, and to our readers who have waited patiently for us to move all the way up to Oregon. We are finally here, and to celebrate we have a wonderful collection of reviews, as well as complete coverage of TOMFest!

No Interview this week, but we hope the amount of reviews will make up for that. Also, get ready for several awesome interviews that are almost finished and ready to go online!

Seriously, music is so amazing, and we thank everyone for checking us out and enjoying great sounds from sweet alternative musicians.

August 10th, 2005
TOMFest was amazing! everyone who went should be able to attest to how awesome it was and what a great time everyone had - and ALLALOM was right in the thick of things handing out pin after pin to everyone. We are now spending all of our time writing up about it, sorting out the pictures and listening to great new music we discovered there; we will have complete festival coverage online with next weeks updates!

This week though we have a treat, an interview with the greatest metal singer of today - Mick Rowe! he has been through everything from Tempest to Midnight Orchestra, Goliath and now his latest hair venture - Nineteen88; we had a great time talking to him, and he has some weird ideas, so check it out!

We also have some killer reviews for everyone, be sure to check out the great new music coming out.

Also, if you havent had the chance, please sign up on our mailing list to recieve the occassional update on new music, contests and giveaways (dont worry, we wont sell your address to anyone, unless of course they offered half a million dollars.). So another week has passed and ALLALOM Music is FINALLY in the Northwest, and we love this place! We still havent found a city to settle in, but dont worry, we'll have a home soon.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and checked out our newest family member - Loser Broadcasting is taking off amazingly, we still have a few bugs to work out in it but dont let that stop you from downloading the very best indie music on the web!

We do not have any updates, reviews or interviews this week, as we will be spending all of our energy on TOMfest!!! thats right - the week has finally come for the absolute best alternative music festival around; Aug. 4th through the 6th we will be in Camas, Washington living it up surrounded by great music.

So enjoy life, and check back real soon to have a detailed account of TOMfest (www.tomfest.com) and to read all the amazing interviews we are going to be doing.

Live life, enjoy it. Rock on.

July 21st, 2005
Welcome back to another week of excellent music! We are sincerely sorry about the last few weeks, but it is almost over and we expect everything to settle down by the end of this month. There is rumor of a hurricane hitting South Texas near our (current) HQ – so holy crap if it actually happens! Luckily we are already on our way towards moving up to the Northwest, so it is doubtful this storm will effect us.

Anyway, on with the updates: We have a special treat in the form of an interview with goth-rocker Eric Clayton of the infamous Saviour Machine!

We also have plenty of new reviews to hold you over for another great week of awesome music.

Don’t forget to search us out at TOMfest (tomfest.com) this year, as we will be giving out some sweet pins and stickers to anyone that ask, remember – August 4 th through the 6 th in Camas (WA); This is an amazing event and we look forward to seeing everyone there!

Until then, enjoy the week, and enjoy awesome new music.

Howdy Everyone!
We are sincerely sorry for the delay with updates this week, but we are in the middle of moving everything over to the West Coast and will probably not have everything back to normal until around the 10th of August. So please bare with us.

The good news though is that we had the chance to interview the amazing Jason Martin a short while ago, and it is now online for your reading pleasure – he is truly a great musician and person.

Don’t forget that we will be attending TOMfest (tomfest.com) in Camas, Washington on the 4th through the 6th of August and we expect to see some familiar faces.

Please keep in mind that we will be slower with updates and responding to emails these few weeks, so patience is a very wonderful virtue.

Rock on.

June 17th, 2005
Howdy Everyone,

Time is speeding up, and we are already halfway through June, which means several things; number one on the list is that ALLALOM will be moving! That’s right, starting tomorrow through the 12 th of August we will be going through the process of moving, changing, re-organizing ALLALOM Music back to the west coast. We will be trying our absolute hardest to keep the site updated every week while we change, so keep checking back often!

Also, we have some wonderful news – a great new band made its stunning debut this past week and we had someone there to cover the release show, as well as interview the band; The Myriad is a charmingly killer rock band out of Seattle and we think everyone will truly enjoy them.

Don’t forget the reviews we have posted today, most of them are more then a little nice and we think you will enjoy it.

Remember, we will be at TOMfest (www.tomfest.com) Aug. 4th through the 6th this year and we expect to see you there! Also in regards to that, we are looking for a photographer to take with us, so if you want to go to an amazingly cool music festival for free please email us.

Enjoy music, enjoy life.

June 10th, 2005
Well, there is no doubt about it anymore, the summer of 2005 is going to be a scorcher for the south, and unfortunately we are right in the middle of it. We are gearing up for an extremely busy summer, with some amazingly awesome interviews lined up, sweet reviews getting prepared and probably our most exciting piece of news – ALLALOM will be moving!

That’s right, during the month of July everything will be turned in every direction as ALLALOM moves out west – where you might ask? Well, it could be LA, or maybe Portland, or how about Seattle? The Truth is that it is all a secret for now as we prepare to move to the very best place to work with the sweetest musicians around. We’ll keep you updated though, as we travel the long trail back west.

This week though, we are super pleased to announce an awesome interview with Josh Dooley, the brain behind one of the greatest new bands around, MAP! Everyone needs to fall in love with him the same way girls swoon over Morrissey. Seriously.

We also have a couple new reviews up for you, we have a feeling you will enjoy them.

We would like to remind you again that we will be attending TOMfest (www.tomfest.com) the 4 th through 6 th of August and we expect to see several of you out there. Be sure to stop by our message board and keep updated about where we are and what is new with ALLALOM Music; while you are there be sure to keep an eye out for giveaways and contests we host.

So get out there and enjoy good music!

June 3rd, 2005
Welcome back everyone!

Another week has flown by, and the heat is starting to take over the summer (In South Texas anyway).

We want to remind everyone that we will be attending TOMfest (www.tomfest.com) this year and we really think everyone should join us for a weekend of fun and great music, go check out their website to learn all the details and which awesome bands will be in attendance.

While your surfing the net, our friends over at jewTUNES (www.jewtunes.net) have a really cool online radio station, they are fun people and we think everyone should go check them out and give them a chance.

We recently finished up an interview with the impressively cool Rachael Sage, as well as reviewing both her first and latest albums. We also reviewed a couple other classic pop albums we think everyone should check out.

So enjoy the week – and be sure to tell all of your friends about ALLALOM Music!

Howdy Everyone!

Things are going to start getting chaotic around here, as we upgrade several ideas we have been holding, and change things around. It is also the beginning of summer, so road trips and summer festivals are all planned out.

Some great news though, is that ALLALOM will be attending Tomfest (http://tomfest.com) this year (Aug. 4 th-6 th), we have always wanted to go but somehow have managed to always be in different states when it happens – luckily we will be in Washington this year, so we be in attendance and having a grand ol’time; we highly recommend that those of you that can come should come.

Ok, back to the present. We just finished up an interview with the amazingly awesome rock band, The Professional Americans, and we have a feeling you will enjoy them as much as we do.

Don’t forget to check out all the reviews, and new information scattered across the ALLALOM landscape.

Oh, and did you know that ALLALOMProductions.com is up and running? That’s right, its here – so go check it out.

Enjoy life, and music.

May 20th, 2005
Welcome back!

The summer is coming with a vengeance and boy is it getting hot! But instead of cooling off we decided to steam things up with a wonderful new interview from the new queens of sass – The Catch! They recently left on tour with Dolour so everyone should go check them out when they come near you.

We also have several other sweet reviews for you, so go enjoy some easy reading; and while you are fishing around please stop by and post something on our messageboard.

Enjoy music!

May 13th, 2005
We have been experiencing some server problems this week, so we apologize for the previous days of having a slow and sometimes almost non-existent site, hopefully this next week will be much better!

Other then that this last week was awesome! Seriously though – so many great artists and albums come out each week that it keeps us here and smiling. We have really enjoyed and appreciated the feedback and overwhelming support we have received from both the bands and the music lovers, you guys are all swell.

We have a real treat for everyone, we recently interviewed the owner of one of the coolest indie labels around, Jeff Cloud – his super indie label (Velvet Blue Music) is one of the most unique and under appreciated out there, so we highly recommend everyone visiting them and buying something from one of the lovely bands on there.

As always we are looking for great people with super taste in music to be a part of both our review team and street team – lets get the word out about great music and spread it the world over! If you are interested in joining either team please feel free to contact us, we are always quick to respond.

Both the pins and stickers have almost completely been given away, which means we will probably have to order more soon, if you still want some please let us know ASAP (if you already emailed us for some, and you haven’t received any please let us know, we would hate to have lost your email and then get blamed for ignoring our friends).

Also, don’t forget to check out our other sites in the upcoming months, we are finally getting things together and we have big plans for this summer.

Keep watching – and enjoy good music!

May 6th, 2005
Well we are back! Another sweetly amazing week has passed us by and some awesome music has come our way.

We interviewed the amazingly awesome, and underrated, Frank Lenz, and it is now up for your reading pleasure.

Also, our friends over at Made In Mexico Records have just released the debut album from the super cool girls in The Catch, and we had the awesome pleasure of reviewing it. While you are reading it be sure to go down to your local ma’n’pa record store and buy yourself a copy, or two, or three!

We also have several other amazing reviews, a couple that are not so amazing, and even one that is downright bad – but don’t worry, its not that bad.

While you are here be sure to signup for the message-board to keep updated on the daily happenings of music lovers everywhere and to keep your eyes open for some great changes coming soon to ALLALOM Music!

Rock on.

April 29th, 2005
Hip Hip Hurray!

We have some great new music for you all to enjoy, with our reviewers moving full force we have reviewed some of the best alternative music released this year – and boy are the albums amazing.

We also interviewed the ever-wonderful Ronnie Martin, front man of the seminally cool synth band Joy Electric. He really is a swell guy.

We have changed the message-boards around a bit, trying to give a little more order to our chaotic base, so go check it out and tell us what you think! Also be sure to signup for our mailing list so you can stay up-to-date with all the latest music news.

We cannot believe the amount of amazing music coming out this year, and we are extremely proud about bringing it to you – we also really like it when you help support us by wearing our pins and sticking our stickers! Which brings us to another announcement, we have new stickers in to give out, as well as some awesome pink or green pins, so email us with your address if you want to receive some amazing new swag.

Enjoy music!

April 22nd, 2005
So with a heavy heart we apologize sincerely for last week, with no interview and several poorly written reviews we certainly dropped the ball and are extremely embarrassed about it; and truthfully there is no excuse.

So this week we are going to make up for it, with have two amazingly awesome interviews for you. Jay Gordon, of the progressively cool band Orgy took the time out from his busy schedule to talk about becoming indie, cool factors and one hit wonders. We also had our busy friends in The Charity Stripe take the time to talk about old and new music. Hurray for them!

Don’t forget our reviews! We are throwing out several more extremely sweet reviews out for your reading pleasure.

So things are moving once more, and hopefully we wont have any more weeks like last week, because today is wonderful, music is wonderful and we are in love.

Enjoy!

April 15th, 2005
Howdy everyone! We had an amazingly stupendous week, it rocked almost harder then we ever knew it could and we hope yours was the same.

We are pleased to announce a new reviewer to our site – Rachel is totally awesome, and she listens to some killer music, so welcome her aboard and enjoy her excellent writing.

We have a million (ok, that is a slight exaggeration) new reviews for your reading pleasure, and as usual we hope they inspire you to seek out new music and ideas.

No interview this week, but don’t let that get you down because we have several surprises coming your way shortly.

Enjoy the week!

April 8th, 2005
Welcome back! This spring is sure speeding up, and we are having a grand time with the music.

We spoke (via email) with one of the coolest musicians ever, Tess Wiley, and she gave us a swell interview to share with all of you, and we could not be prouder of it – so check it out and then check her out!

For all the great music that comes out each month, we cannot forget the amazing albums and artists that have come before, those that blazed the trail and created masterpieces to last through the ages, so we at ALLALOM are going to start posting reviews of some of the best nineties albums ever recorded, from some of the best alternative acts and performers. So now you can look forward to great new reviews each week, as well as the classics! Hurray for music!

Keep checking back on a weekly basis to see the changes we are steadily going through, nothing ever stays the same for long at ALLALOM.

Enjoy the week.

April 1st, 2005

So what happens when great musicians release great albums? – you get great reviews! That’s right folks, its another charming week filled with awesome reviews - well, most of them are awesome, but we also have one of the worst albums ever recorded in our reviews.

We really love uncovering artists that the industry seems to have forgotten and spreading the warm feeling that the artist gives us with all of you, our readers. Unfortunately it often means tough and grueling weeks trying to get a hold of them and the struggle to get the information together in time to release it, this week we had several delays and wont be able to get the interview up. So sorry, but we will have one up by next week!

Also, we are working on some really awesome surprises for everyone, so keep paying attention to us in the upcoming months and you will see the fruits of our hard labor.

Spread the word, music is love and ALLALOM loves music.

March 26th, 2005
Welcome back to another great week at ALLALOM! If you had not noticed we are doing some basic site re-design to make it that much easier for everyone, we would love some feedback on what you think so email us sometime (info@allalom.com) and let us know.

South By Southwest was amazing, it is a must for music lovers – so we plan on seeing you all there next year! We have posted a show highlights in the review section if you want to hear what Samuel Aaron thought of the whole thing.

We are super excited to announce the return of Fine China! We have a new interview up with frontman Rob Withem to prove that they are back, and we could not be happier.

As usual we have several wonderful new reviews up, in fact there is so much great new music that it will take months to put it all up, so enjoy it.

Don’t forget to sign up for our mailing list, and our messageboard, we are always looking for new people to talk with and if you’re here then we are sure that we’ll love you.

Enjoy the week!

March 9th, 2005
We have a winner! Actually we have two winners, Walter from Indiana won the grand prize and is going to be receiving some awesome music from Fall Records and a totally killer prize package from us at ALLALOM, and both Amy (California) and Miranda (Kentucky) tied for our runners up and will be receiving a sweet goodie bag from our vaults filled with all kinds of swell musical things. So hurray for the first giveaway from ALLALOM / Fall Records (be sure to head over to www.fallrecords.com) and see all the wonderful things they are doing.

So now we have some good news, and some bad news. The bad news is that the site will not be updated next week due to SXSW (which should be boatloads of fun), the good news is that we are posting two totally awesome interviews this week to make up for it!

We had the pleasure and honor of interviewing Sameer Shukla, a charming singer / songwriter from Seattle, and the amazing slam poet Bradley Hathaway; both guys are totally sweet and both deserve all the praise you can muster.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful March, and a great year, we love you.

March 2nd, 2005

Another week, another sound. We at ALLALOM cannot even believe that Febuary is over, it went by so fast and so much has happened to us in just a short period of time.

I was lucky enough to drive up and interview Jens Lekman when he stopped in Austin during his tour with the Impossible Shapes (and let me tell you, the show was amazing), so be sure to check it out in the ‘Interviews’ section.

Also, don’t forget to sign up for our mailing list to stay up to date with what we are doing at ALLALOM.com, and while you are at it sign up for the messageboard and get to posting! We love music, we love you. Thanks for stopping by.

February 23rd, 2005
Another amazing week has passed us by, I had the wonderful opportunity of going up to Austin to see The Impossible Shapes / Jens Lekman tour and it blew my mind; if you haven’t already heard these guys, then don’t waste another minute and go buy their albums. I also had the extreme pleasure of interviewing Jens and it will be placed online with next week’s updates.

Speaking of next week – the 5th marks the end of our giveaway, so if you have not signed up be sure to do it (email your name and state to promotions@allalom.com), receiving free CDs, stickers, posters, and pins are worth the two seconds it takes to email us – don’t you agree?

This week the featured interview is with Tony Vincent, an amazing musician and performer, be sure to check it out.

Our pink pins are now completely gone, the last two were sent in the mail yesterday, we are designing a killer new pin to take their place – be prepared. Our shirts are in the final stages of being setup, so hopefully we can have them ready to rumble by the middle of March.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit us, you guys rock.

February 16th, 2005
Welcome back! Another great week for music has flown by us, and we hoped you enjoyed it. We had the pleasure of interviewing The Divorce recently, and it is now up for your viewing, and we are excited to announce a new interview with Sarah Masen, she is just so cool and we love her – so check them out and spread the word.

We are also super pleased to announce that we have a new interviewer/reviewer for ALLALOM! Missy lives in Seattle and is going to expose us all to the awesome gossip that is the alternative music world – hurray for that! We hope that she brings that girlish charm so lacking from this site, but even if that doesn’t happen she is a wonderful addition and we love her.

Once again let us remind those who have not already signed up for the Fall Records / ALLALOM giveaway to do it soon – the contest ends March 5 th! For those of you who don’t know what we are talking about, check out the archived news and you will figure it all out, easy like.

We still have about six of our fabulous pink buttons left – so email us (promotions@allalom.com) and ask for your free pin! Hurry, because once they are out we will be switching designs and the pink guys will fade into history.
We love you.

February 9th, 2005

This week was over before it even began; I am still confused as to how a whole week passed us by. I had the pleasure of interviewing Sacha Sacket, a horribly unrecognized artist who is truly amazing, so be sure to check him out.

Don’t forget about the giveaway with Fall Records, email us (promotions@allalom.com) with your name and state to signup for the contest before it ends on March 5th!

We are also designing some awesome T-shirts for ALLALOM, be on the lookout for those in the near future.

February 2nd, 2005

Hurray for a new month! Thank you everyone who made last month so wonderful and such a smashing success, we cannot wait to see what the remainder of the year holds for us.

Thanks again for loving music, it means a lot to us.

January 26th, 2005
My editing skills have been sadly lacking, and I am sorry. I was horridly sick last week and let some mistakes slip past me – but all is corrected today, and it is a wonderful day!

Unfortunately I was not able to get any interview together in time for this week’s deadline (another thing to blame on being sick), but we still have some awesome reviews for everyone to read! Don’t worry though, the interviews will be back next week.

We are having so much fun with Allalom, and would like to thank all the visitors that have come by in our first month and a half to make everything possible and we cannot wait for you to see what we have planned for this upcoming month – it’s a doozy!

So sit back, enjoy the week and have fun!

January 19th, 2005
Everything moves at such an exciting pace, we at Allalom can barely keep up! We have the pleasure of announcing a new reviewer to the site, Ed, he rocks with his amazing love of music and we hope everyone finds his reviews extra special.

We also have a new interview with Shane Tutmarc (of Dolour), we decided with all the changes we had to find out what was really going on for this amazing songwriter. We also had the pleasure of interviewing the band Fallen Angels from the Netherlands, these guys are awesome – check them out!

Don’t forget to check out all the great new reviews, the killer message board (again, thank you Brandon!) and the superb friends we have linked here at Allalom.

Music is awesome, enjoy it!

January 12th, 2005
We at Allalom are so excited for the upcoming year, we have so many wonderful things cooking for a perfect music season.

We have also been working hard on the site, getting little things fixed and adding great new things (check out the wonderful new message board). Many thanks have to go to Brandon for being the best webmaster in the world. We are still looking for some additional reviews, especially people that know a little bit more about hardcore and country then we do, so if you are interested please email us and we could have a ball.

We have a few new reviews for your reading enjoyment, including our very first magazine review! We also have a brand-spankin'-new interview with Page France (who has become the darling in our eye, his album rocks).

Keep checking back often, we have some wonderful new interviews in the works…not to mention our killer reviews of the best in new music.

Enjoy the week!

January 5th, 2005
We hope everyone had a superb holiday season; we at ALLALOM were graced with something that is not normally seen in South Texas - snow! We had a great time with the storm that froze the roads, chilled our hearts and coated our cars.

We are pleased to announce the addition of Michael to our review staff, he is an amazing guy with some amazing talent and we look forward to working with him.

We have a great treat for you this week - new interviews from Ian McGlynn and Chris Fredricks (Fall Records). We have also reviewed several more amazing albums from amazing artists that everyone should check out. Keep checking back with us on a weekly basis for more interviews, free MP3s, reviews and links to the greatest bands currently out there.
December 17th, 2004
HAPPY HOLIDAYS! We at ALLALOM want to extend our warmest wishes to all of you this season, we could not be here if it was not for your kindness, support and love. Thank you.

Each year we assemble our 7 Greatest Artists - it is a list that shows our support to new and old artists that have either created a superbly wonderful new album, made a striking impression in the music community or a triumphant return; in any case, these artists represent the very best in music.

2004 was a high mark for the music community; we saw the mainstream embrace our indie culture and an influx of new talents. ALLALOM could not be more proud of the future we see ahead and the past we leave behind. This past year saw the return of some old friends, commercial breakthroughs for deserving people, a high mark for alternative music craft, a unique and beautiful transformation, and two solid pop masterpieces. These albums pushed the limits, expanded artistic borders and simply rocked. So we at ALLALOM are pleased to announce...

1. Starflyer59 - On the heels of the lushly arranged and beautiful Old of last year, Jason Martin & Co. return with a bluesy rocker that knocked the garage-rock movement to its knees, and then followed it with their best EP to date, a gorgeous shoegazer moment, and high mark of this seminal band.

2. Dolour
- Shane Tutmarc and friends showed the world just how wonderful pop music can be; their latest album, New Old Friends, also ushered in the return of Made In Mexico Records!

3. Orgy
- Losing the major label, synthesizers and pretensions - these guys snuck into 2004 with a jaw dropping hard rock album that would make any music fan proud.

4. Scissor Sisters -
Who said Disco was dead? The Scissor Sisters showed us just how much fun dancing like an idiot could be, who said androgyny was outdated?

5. Skillet
- Making the jump to major label proved just was this band needed, their industrial sound has given way to a balanced and strikingly unique hard rock album.

6. Mellowdrone
- Following up one of the best EPs ever created, these guys kept right on going - touring with the Fire Theft and singing along with Tweaker is any rocker's dream, and how many rock stars would sing a love song to a monkey?

7. The Magnetic Fields
- Making their grand return was no simple feat after 69 Love Songs, but they not only managed to do it, they proved that 'i' is not always a selfish thing, and minimalism can be a beautiful work of art.

December 8th, 2004
Hello everyone and welcome to the new website for ALLALOM (many thanks and praises go out to Brandon Tutmarc for saving us from the mess we had created)!

We have spent months fighting an uphill battle and finally feel like we have reached the top (of the hill anyway, not the mountain). Please be patient while we fill in all the missing information and get the bugs cleaned out.

During this holiday season we will be a little slow with the uptake of new reviews and interviews; but don't worry - we will all be back at our desks by January to give you the best in both the underground and mainstream music.

Also, we are looking for some new album reviewers, artist interviewers, and concert reviews for this dandy new site, so if you are interested (and like receiving free promos, stickers, posters, etc) please get in contact with us ASAP.

Don't forget to visit our sponsors and musical friends - because without them none of this would be happening.
